I know when we are in college we don't have much money to spend on other things we want and/or need.
Here I will give you some tips I learned from my mum, friends, online articles, blogs, ect.
Many of us like to maintain a beauty regiment: get our nails done, hair cut, hair dye, facials, ect. Many of the things we do can be very pricey. There are many ways to get all your beauty needs without the need of spending half of your paycheck.
Hair:
Hair, to many of us, is very important. We do what we can to keep it healthy and shiny. Here are some tips to do just that with out the need of spending so much money.

Hair, to many of us, is very important. We do what we can to keep it healthy and shiny. Here are some tips to do just that with out the need of spending so much money.
- Hair trim: A hair trim, depending on the place, can cost around 15-30 dollars, sometimes even more. The last trim I got I spend a good 35 dollars. Even though I don't mind spending that much on my hair, I just simple don't have all the money in the world to do it every six weeks. ( I have long hair).
A good way to save your money and get your hair trim is going to a beauty school. Yes a beauty school. They will charge you around 7 dollars for a trim, depending on the place.
A tip about beauty schools: Don't get a trendy hair cut there, like for example a short bob or layers. From my experience, I went to get a "scene" like hair cut a few years back and my hair looked like a child played with scissors. In her defense, she didn't know how to razor cut hair.
Also, if you feel she doesn't know what she is doing, SPEAK UP. Don't be afraid to tell them you don't want your hair cut by them. - Deep Conditioner: I like to deep condition my hair every few weeks, since I dye my hair all the time. Many salons offer deep conditioning your hair, but again this can get very pricey. So here are some products that work just as well.
I like using:3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner
This product is my favorite deep conditioner. I love how soft my hair feels after using it. I don't use it that often though, every 4-6 weeks. This product also come in a trial size pack that can cost no more than a dollar.
- Hair Dye and Highlights: Unfortunately, I don't know what to tell you for this topic. This is an area that should be invested on a good hair colorist. If you still want to add some color and not spend a lot here are a few tips to help:
Get highlights instead of full on color. Highlights, when done right, could last a while with out the need of retouching. Just make sure they are low-lights and that they are not too light of your natural color.
If you plan to dye your hair at home, don't go over two shades darker or lighter then your natural hair color. This is a disaster waiting to happen, Trust me.

Here are some tips one how to get great skin at home:
Here are some tips one how to get great skin at home:
- Yogurt: My mum told me to use yogurt and a few drops of honey to make your skin nice and soft.
- Oatmeal: I use it whenever I run out of my supplies. Its a good exfoliator. Mix it with some honey to make it sticky and gently rub it on your skin. Don't do it everyday though. I exfoliate twice a week during winters and once a week during spring and summer. I have oily skin just to let you know.
- Aloe Vera: This is the best thing in the world. This plant not only help me get soft skin, but it helps with acne scars. Just make sure to apply it as fast as possible. The minute you know you will have a scar, put some on. Don't go outside when the sun is out.(my mum told me that)
Olay: I love Olay products. I think they work very well for me. I use them because my mum uses them as well. They are not even that expensive, in my opinion.
Clothes

SourceI love shopping. I could shop all day if I had all the money in the world. Sometimes I need a blazer or a sweater and don't feel like paying full price for it.
These are just some tips I have. I would probably add more later on.

- Go to your local thrift store or Goodwill. I found a great military-like Blazer for only 10 dollars. YAY!
- Closets: Get permission from your mum and the boyfriend, and go through their closet to find something you can use. I found a great vintage dress in my mum's closet.
